Tow Drivers Pay and Requirements

Salary:

  • 2 weeks training – Drivers are NOT paid for training.
  • Tow Drivers begin to get paid once they start driving and performing services on their own.
  • Tow drivers and staff will be paid every two weeks.
  • Once start making money, drivers are responsible to to fill diesel at their own expense 100%

All drivers required to:

  • Be in truck on the set Working hours – The Shift
  • 8 hours per day 6 days a week
  • Have your own tools (lockout kit/J hooks/first aid kit/ square terminal and so on)
  • Arrive to Clients within 25 minutes from the moment called received (if clear)
  • Drivers pays their on fuel (diesel) expenses
  • All drivers are sub contractors and must have a corporation registered to their names. All driver payment will be made to that corporation name.
  • drivers to keep records of all their work preformed in order to get paid
  • Drivers may post ads with their names and start doing their own marketing but must include the company name and main line in their ads and get a written conformations of each ad before posting

New Drivers:

  • Company calls 60/40 split (40% to driver)
  • Driver found calls 40/60 (60% to driver)
  • Same % for all commissions (bodyshop / car rental / any other Commission or referral flat fee generated)
  • House calls where better way pays driver directly $40 hook up / $40 dollies / $2 per each km towed
  • Better Way will send commission free calls from time to time and it is expected for drivers to assist other tow drivers with light services such as Lockout, Boost, Gas Deliveries and tire changes. commission free calls will occur much more often then the request to help another tow driver.
  • Private property towing – Drivers will be paid $100 per each private property tow and extra $40 for releasing the vehicle. it is up to each driver to get the police incident number for each vehicle towed of private property and send update of all records to dispatch / WhatApp group

Senior Tow truck operators (5 years experience +):

  • Company calls 50/50 split (50% to driver)
  • Driver found calls 15/85 (85% to driver)
  • Same % for all commissions (bodyshop / car rental / and any other Commission or referral flat fee generated) on calls sent by A Better Way Towing
  • Accident calls the tow operator find himself – Operator will issue a breakdown of services provided to Better Way. the rates must be by the by-law rates of the city where the accident happened. Better way will charge the insurance company those rates plus BWT additional fees. Tow driver gets to keep 100% off the accident breakdown rates he requested and that the insurance approves. From that invoice, $300 flat fee to be paid to better way towing. Better way will keep additional fees charged on top of the drivers rates requested to recover administration and office coasts. Driver that find the accident keeps 100% off all commission generated from the call including but not limited to body shop / rental and any other profits that may occur.
